Getting ready for the “Ginger Bread Wonderland” this weekend!

30 Nov

I’ve been so busy trying to get ready for this show.

2012 GBW CS individual postcard

It’s unbelievable.

This is the first show that I needed approval to even be a vendor. Since I’m a nut cake when it comes to detail, I’ve been trying to make sure I have everything and I mean everything.

Pens, paper, tissue paper, change (not sure how you even figure that out,) Table cloth and many other items. I hope I’m not bringing too much. But, I’d rather have too much than not enough.

I’m also getting a tad bit nervous on the time element. Set up begins at 8am so I have to make sure we’re there. Since I’ve never been to that venue I have no idea the distance between the parking lot and where the Craft Show will be. AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

Anyway, thanks for listening to my little rant. Wish me luck!

PS, if you happen to live anywhere near Morristown, NJ come by the Gingerbread Wonderland it’s supposed to be Spectacular!!!

18 Nov

Are you ready?

To tell you the truth I’m no where near ready.

Whew!

So much to do so little time to do it. Last week I started making a grocery list. Here’s my list,

It’s pretty sad looking huh? At least it’s a start. LoL!

Do you have your list done?

Well, I know the list will be pretty big in a few minutes and I have to make sure the items for my favorite “Hot Apple Cider” are on that list.

Hot Apple Cider

and

This is my absolute favorite recipe that I found on All-Recipes.com

Here’s the recipe:

6 cups apple cider

1/4 cup real maple syrup

2 cinnamon sticks

6 whole cloves

6 whole all spice berries

1 orange peel – cut into strips

1 lemon peel – cut into strips

  • Pour the apple cider and maple syrup into a large stainless steel saucepan.
  • Place the cinnamon sticks, cloves, allspice berries, orange peel and lemon peel in the center of a washed square of cheesecloth; fold up the sides of the cheesecloth to enclose the bundle, then tie it up with a length of kitchen string. Drop the spice bundle into the cider mixture.
  • Place the saucepan over moderate heat for 5 to 10 minutes, or until the cider is very hot but not boiling.
  • Remove the cider from the heat. Discard the spice bundle. Ladle the cider into big cups or mugs, adding a fresh cinnamon stick to each serving if desired.

If you enjoy (like I do) a hot apple ciderTRY This it’s so yummy!

If that’s not your cup of tea maybe this is,

a nice bar of Fruit Loops extra moisturizing soap.
